A Prayer Upon Rising

Father, I ask for the Holy Spirit to be my guide today.

Help me do nothing to make you go silent in my soul.

Help me to listen to your guidance, rather than shove it to the side because of my will.

Help me live life and get along with others without compromising my desire to reflect who you are to me.

Give me the courage and strength to live fearlessly, unashamed of my faith.

Keep the enemy at bay and surround me with your warriors, as I wear the armor you issued me at my salvation.

Lastly, I pray the expression on my face shows the joy I feel in knowing you.
